Dog Harness for My Labrador
by Shahid
(Tench Rawalpindi, Pakistan)
First I'm buying a simple leash and his rings and hook locks.
Then I cut the leash and divided it into three different pieces.
The pieces are attached in a triangle shape to each other: one piece into the dog's neck and the other one is turned around his legs.
The third one is attached to the clip and the harness is ready for the dog.
Shahid, thank you for taking the time to write these instructions. This looks like a very simple dog harness to make. Also thank you for supplying such a beautiful photo of your yellow labrador retriever - what name have you given your dog? (Please look for the photo with a link to this submission during the September 2011 Monthly Dog Show on our home page.)
I was a little unclear about how you completed the harness, however. If you are reading this page, please let me know your answers to the following questions by putting them in the Comments section below this page:
Did you make a triangle of straps around each leg or just one leg?
How did you fasten the snap hook from the chain to the strap going over your dog's back?
How many rings did you use - was it just two rings, one on each side?
If so, how did you fasten the straps in the front in your labrador's chest area? It looks like the pieces of leash may have been sewn together.
Once you answer these questions, I can add them on to this page. Thank you again for submitting this. Jo
P.S. I changed the letters to a combination of lower case and capital letters. If you leave your writing in all capitals, it is considered shouting at someone over the Internet and I did not think you were intending to do that!
