Favorite dog toy:
Socky

by Zora
(South Africa)

My dogs love this toy because they can play tug of war with it, chase it around or jump up to try and grab it. Trust me your dog will love this toy.

It is a very fun, but inexpensive toy to make.

All I took was an old sock and tied a few knots in it - you can make yours long or short, but the longer the sock the more fun it is.

If it is a short sock just make one knot in the middle, but if it is a long sock make as many knots as possible with about a 10cm space in between each knot.

Editor's note: Thank you, Zora! This is a favorite idea for many dog owners to make since most people have discarded unmatched socks lying around (where does that other sock go anyhow?) If the dogs haven't shredded the Socky, you can simply put it in the washing machine when it gets too slimy and grubby. No need to dry it - your dogs most likely won't care - and it might be more stretchy when wet.
