VET CHECKUP TIME!!
by: Anonymous

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE get your dog to a vet for a thorough checkup! As stated already it can be as simple as a thyroid problem but it could also be a few more dire things. Once the vet has given a clean bill of health it really is simple -- you control the amount of food (no "self feeding") and also the amount of exercise. No fudging on either account and soon Lou (and possibly you!) will be feeling better and looking slimmer.

eliminate disease possibilities
by: Lisa

I would advise your pup get a Vet Check. It might be a disease like hypothyroidism or something else. The lab check for hypothyroid is not that expensive. I would eliminate the possibility of a disease if it seems like diets and exercise are not working. Good luck and hope all is well with your pup.
