missymouse's shih tzus

I have two adorable Shih Tzu doggies. My oldest one is almost three years old. Her name is Cricket. She is white with brown spots and a brown/black mask. I guess that is tri colored. She's my baby doll. The best dog I've ever known.

My other dog is solid black and her name is Tootie. She is not yet a year old. She is very smart and willfull - but soooo cute! Definitely not as mellow as Cricket though.

I have a hubby and two kids, but when I got the urge to have more kiddos, I got puppies instead. They're almost the same right? Don't get me wrong. My dogs are great and all, but they are still dogs. I don't totally treat them like humans or any thing. They don't wear clothes or get really pampered - just lots of love from me.

They are mostly indoors and are trained to use potty pads (mostly) because we live in washington state and it is wet outside a lot, so if I let them go outside too often, they get really messy. And I do take them to the groomers when I can afford it just for routine maintenance. If you have a dog who grows hair, you know what I mean. Anyway, they are a lot of fun and I'm lovin' almost every minute of it!

Next step is to build some doggie stairs so they won't keep me up all night wanting to get back up on the bed!! Wish me luck.
