Raised Doggie Car Seat

by Nanci
(Indiana, U.S.)

I wanted to build a raised platform for a car seat that would allow my Type A rat terrier, Mister Dude (an appropriate name for his attitude), to see out the car, but yet hold him safely in place.

I got a heavy duty plastic storage box that wedges nicely between the dash and the back of the seat. Then I filled it with a foam rubber pillow wrapped in polar fleece fabric.

Then fashioned a short piece of webbing with a fastener on each end. One end attaches around the headrest post and the other smaller one down to hook on Dude's harness.

It works beautifully!!!
