Vegetarian Dog Treats Plus

by Vaness
(California)

My dog just loved these vegetarian dog treats! Try them for yourself!

1 cup of whole wheat flour
1 cup of pureed vegetables (like tomatoes, carrots, spinach or peas)
1/2 cup of water
1 tablespoon of Brewer's yeast
1 teaspoon of bran
1 tsp of baking powder
2 teaspoons of olive oil

Preheat the oven to 350 F.
Mix all the dry ingredients together.
Mix all the wet ingredients together(including vegetables).
Now mix the wet and dry ingredients.

Plop onto a baking sheet and form whatever shape you would like.
Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown
Cool dog treats and serve!

PS. You can also use this as a dog FOOD recipe but by adding braised chicken, pureed. But don't put the yeast, flour, bran or baking powder. Ok so here's the recipe for the food:

1 cup of vegetables, your choice, but pureed
1/2 cup of water
1 cup of cooked chicken, pureed
1 cup of cooked beef, pureed
1/2 teaspoon of salt (optional)
some parsley for the doggy breath

When its feeding time put the wet food and mix it with the dry food.

Hope your dog likes it!

Editor's note: Vaness, you did not specify whether the vegetables should be cooked or raw. It looks like you could use either. Also, since you are using baking powder to get the treats to puff up, I figured you meant nutritional yeast rather than the kind that is used for rising flour mixtures. Also note that if you use salt in the dog food, Morton's light salt mixture is recommended rather than pure salt.
